Determining the seasonal change of the feed values of bush species that are common around Kovada Lake

This study was carried out in Kovada lake national park Isparta 2018-2020 to determine the forage values of common grazeable bush species. Ten species including bush, shrub-shaped tree and shrub (Phillyrea latifolia, Spartium junceum, Juniperus oxycedrus, Quercus coccifera, infectoria, Coronilla emerus, Colutea melanocalyx, Fraxinus excelsior, Paliurus spina-christi ve Crataegus monogyna) were used study. Leaf samples taken from these all seasons. In this study, dry matter (DM) ratio, crude protein (CP) NDF, ADF, total digestible nutrients (TDN), relative feed value (RFV) tannin ratios each determined.According results analysis variance, difference between seasons found be statistically significant examined characteristics.According two-year averages, when are compared, highest TDN RFV obtained spring, while they decreased as progressed, lowest winter. The ratios, ADF NDF spring increased parallel with progress summer, determined winter.When ratio C. P. spina-christi, S. melanocalyx F. excelsior. species.Consequently, it has been seen that maquis have an important potential high quality for ruminant animals critical period semi-arid arid regions.
